My Mom Life this Month

What better way to celebrate this day of motherhood than by catching up on the old blog and looking back on the moments captured.  A little random, we'll just take them in the order they come.

Hmmm... what's first?

Oh, this is a fun one.  Sweet Tomatoes had a "Show Your Best Pucker Face" contest.  The winner received 20 free dinners.  That is a lot of Fridays I wouldn't have to cook.  So we gave it a go.  I handed the cutest member of my family a lemon and started snapping.

After I saw this shot, I thought I had the contest in the bag.

I would like to say I am not a sore loser, but you should see the finalist they chose.  I was robbed, people.  Robbed!

Asher wasn't nearly as miffed as I was.  He got a lemon out of the deal.  And he was a fan.

You know what else he like?  Chocolate cookies.

Jon has been in charge of Rhode's hair lately.  Seriously, I give him an inch, I get a mohawk.

I can admit it did look really cute on him but it was a little more of a statement than I like to make with a hairstyle.  But before he got his most recent summer buzz, I finally got my Easter outfit pictures.

The ties and suspenders were sewing club creations.

This fantastic picture moment was brought to you by these ladies.  They also got to take my kids to Disney on Ice while they were in town.  Can I tell you how excited I am to have Kendall at BYU next year?  Three sisters within a 5 hour drive.  HEAVEN!

And finally, Scarlet scored herself a little modeling gig.  It helps that the company was a little biased.

Turned out awesome though right?

And finally, a short video.  I will preface it with a quote from Rachel Roylance made this very evening.  "Is there a baby olympics?  Because if so, Asher would win the crawl race."

He is crazy fast.  When he is on a slick surface, he will grab a towel or something slippery in one hand and propel himself across the floor with it.  This is not his fastest example but you can see his preferred bear crawl method.

Awesome! Um, 'this might not be his fastest example...' I'm pretty sure that was fast. You all look adorable in you Easter best.

Great pictures! What a good looking family! You definitely got robbed with the pucker face. Love Scarlet modeling and I'm going to use Mr. Speedy's video to show Will how it's done. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day: you deserved it!

People often exaggerate about their kids and what they can do, but Asher has legit speed. That's crazy...

That is fast! Ready for the walking yet? It would slow him down a bit. ;)

I bet if there was a sour face while crawling contest - Asher would win for sure!!! He is so adorable... and fast! I think he gets it from me. That's what I look like when someone drops chocolate on the floor!

Your family is extremely good looking. I love the Easter suspenders. I want to make Kaden some, but have no sewing club to motivate me . . .
