Rolls and smiles

It seems like the times in my life where I have a baby, I have so many more conversations with random people, including complete strangers. They ask about their age, oh are they good babies, are you getting any sleep. But I was just noticing when I saw another mom being similarly questioned, one thing I never get asked about my babies is if they are good eaters. I'd like to say it is probably because the answer is usually shining up at them in the form of two very round cheeks.
Look at this chunk of a guy!
And his newest accomplishment, to my absolute, complete, and utter joy, the smile...
I haven't gotten an official weigh in yet but when I threw us both on my friend's scale the other day, he measured in at a whopping 14 pounds! What a keeper. I love every inch of this kid.
We are off to Gridley today for an early start to our Thanksgiving holiday. Jon will work in Reno for the beginning of next week while the kiddos and I hang out with grandma and grandpa. By this time today I will be eating tangerines, mandarins, kiwis and all other kinds of produce right off the tree. It is the life!

Oh my goodness, he has changed so much since his first week - imagine that! We will be thinking of you in Gridley staying warm and eating fresh produce while we are here freezing and putting up the Christmas decorations. Sure you don't want to change your mind?

He is adorable. I hope you have fun in California. I will be freezing next week in Utah but I will have my baby back so that will makeup the difference. We'll see you after the holiday!

I'm one of those random people that like to start conversations with people...kids make it so much easier. I love the photos of your place. It looks great. I think our husbands have some similar interests. Everytime I say that we need something for our place he wants to build it.

The random lady that commented on my blog didn't bother me, it just made me realize that random people actually sit there and read other people's blog and I don't want some weirdo reading about my family. I know I am dork, but oh well
