Cute Story You've Heard Before

I know my child isn't the first to do it, but I still laughed pretty hard when she did!

Scarlet, Rhode, and I were sitting on my bed and Scarlet was being extra adorable with her baby brother. She was giving him soft kisses and patting his head. She asked if she could hold him ('baby up!' while pointing to her lap) so I laid him across her lap. She kept grabbing his pajamas to pull him closer to her so I stepped in and scooted him up until he was right up next to her. Then she pulled down her shirt top and said, 'baby eat!' Pretty observant girl! And so very helpful :)

Here is Rhode's 'no thanks, sis' face

Oh, and while I wrote this little blog entry Scarlet scribbled yellow marker all over her hands and outfit and dumped out a half a box of Rice Krispies on my living room floor. Totally loving the toddler years...

Little kids are so smart! Don't underestimate them. :) At least you have a good helper.

Bennett was always the best little mimic! He would try to "feed" his baby (yes he had a doll...a boy one!) and would stick it in his shirt with the head popping out of the head hole...that was his sling! It really is fun to see what they figure out next!

SO cute. Why do children go buck wild when mom gets on the computer? I turned around today after being on the computer and both of my children were completely naked, there was a fudgsicle melted on the table, and there were several chairs pushed up to the freezer.

What a little helper! And, yes, Elsie is totally in the destructive, mischievious, wild child toddler phase...I think it may only get worse. At least they're cute, right?!

So funny. Toddlers are awesome! I can't wait to see them at Christmas. Rhode is getting so big! It must be all that "extra" sibling nursing!!

Ha! That made me laugh out loud! I gotta say that every elderly woman I meet tells me that I'll miss these younger years of my kids, but really, I wonder if they're lying!

It's quite an adjustment having two! At least our girls like to "try" to help. It's the thought that counts, right??? I can't believe how big your little guy is already! I can't wait to meet him. (and reading the other comments on this post make me feel much better about the craziness at my house!)
